With the release of Medal of Honor getting closer, EA wants to help push pre-sales of the game. When the last Medal of Honor game was released, people who pre-ordered it were given "exclusive" access to the Battlefield 3 Beta. If you look closely you can see this says you'll get access to the Battlefield 4 beta. This banner was added to the main store screen the other day and then quickly removed and replaced with a Battlefield 3 Premium banner. The problem is that they took down the banner but didn't fix the actual page for the game, meaning this information is still out there.
You might ask, "is this for real?" At this point, we just don't know. This could be a slip of information that wasn't supposed to come out yet or it could be the way that EA intended to let us all know that they're working on Battlefield 4 without having to actually do anything.
Battlefield 3 still has more expansions on the way and looks to have a long life ahead of it. Why would they replace something like this so quickly? Hopefully in the coming months as we get closer to the release of Medal of Honor, we'll learn more about the future of Battlefield as well.
Though I wouldnt be shocked at this It would be disappointing.
